Community Action Agencies
Community Action Agencies serve low income and economically disadvantaged individuals and families by providing access to programs that encourage self-sufficiency and help people move out of poverty. Programs and services offered at most agencies include:
- Case Management
- Emergency Assistance
- Food boxes
- Assistance with rent and utilities through programs such as URRD, LIHEAP, and Weatherization
- Financial assistance
- Eviction prevention and emergency shelter coordination
- Resources and Referrals
- Employment assistance
