Choose to Help
Today the face of poverty isn’t exactly what you’d expect. More individuals and families than ever before are struggling. Many have never needed help. Until now.
Human service agencies across Arizona face a 60 – 80% increaase in requests for assistance from individuals and business owners who cannot make payroll.
Food banks are serving record numbers of families.
More and more families with children are living on the streets or in their car.
The Changing Face of Poverty is a statewide campaign created and coordinated by the Arizona Community Action Association to:
- raise awareness of the growing problem, and
- encourage donations of time, money, and food.
During the first phase of the campaign, $1.6 million was awared to 45 human service agencies statewide, through a collaboration with the Arizona Grantmakers Forum.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. That’s why the campaign continues.
Your monetary donation can be made by clicking on the red ‘Donate’ tab above. 100% of the money you donate goes directly to agencies serving those in need in your community.
